Wandsworth Town Hall Register Office is such a beautiful spot for a wedding. It's one of the best register offices in London and certainly the best in South London . A grand 1930's building of columns and marble interiors, there are so many lovely spots along light-filled hallways as the bride and groom walk to their ceremony room.
Speaking of ceremony rooms, there are a few choices at Wandsworth depending on how many guests and the style that suites you.
For the smallest weddings the choice is between the oak-panelled Mayor's Parlour or the Elizabeth Room with capacity for 6 or 8 respectively. Both are ideal for ceremonies which include only the couple and their two witnesses.
For a smaller weddings of up to25 and 35, the Victoria Room and the Alexandra Room are recently renovated yet retains it modern and art deco style with a palette of soft colours and nice, big windows for a light and airy feel. I had the pleasure of being the photographer at the wedding photos below which was held in the Alexandra Room.
Finally, for a larger wedding of up to 80 guests, the Grand Chamber is a great choice with a regal burgundy colour scheme and elegant carved wood and leather seating for a formal and grand atmosphere for your wedding and photographs.
Once there ceremony is finished, Wandsworth Town Hall offer plenty of scope for gorgeous photographs of the happy couple on the beautiful staircase and in front of the chandelier before stepping outside and having a bit more photography in Art Deco elegance on the exterior steps with confetti and around the fountain before heading off to the reception to celebrate.
