I'm thrilled that for the first time in a long time, we can all gather and throw a proper party. Bring on the cocktails, the dj, bubble artist and light dancers!
I absolutely love photographing party and corporate events because there's a completely different (dare I say more relaxed vibe) than big, fancy weddings. Of course, I love a big wedding, but at a corporate party what's really exciting for me as a photographer is to capture beautiful, creative shots that tell a story when no one really has preconceived expectations of what the final set of images will be.

Reading your post brought back a memory from a product launch I attended two years ago at the O2. We hired a photographer who claimed to specialize in corporate events, and the results were exactly what you describe here – crisp, professional shots that still captured the energy of the room. I remember stepping out of a breakout session and seeing the photographer moving seamlessly between groups, a subtle flash that never felt intrusive. One of the images ended up on our internal newsletter and later on the company’s LinkedIn page, drawing more attention than any of the formal press releases we’d sent out.
